Shawn Kumar is a dynamic vocalist and performer, blending the timeless elegance of crooner-style vocals with the passion of rock and pop. Inspired by legends such as Sinatra, Bon Jovi, U2, and Stevie Wonder, Shawn's voice captivates audiences with its precise tone, wide range, and emotional depth.
Shawn’s musical journey is one of resilience and self-belief. Always drawn to singing but held back by shyness, he spent years honing his craft in private, overcoming self-doubt and criticism. Encouraged by a few key mentors and a breakthrough performance at Geneva’s Got Talent, where he wowed a crowd of 500 with Drops of Jupiter, Shawn realized his true calling. With a deep drive to prove himself and honor the faith his grandparents had in his talent, he has dedicated himself fully to the pursuit of a professional music career.
His music speaks to those chasing their dreams, pushing through adversity, and striving for greatness. Whether performing intimate ballads or soaring anthems, Shawn's goal is to inspire hope and resilience in his listeners.
Currently, Shawn is focused on growing his audience, developing original music, and performing at premier venues. His vision includes a transition from local shows to national tours, bringing his unique sound to a wider audience. He is well on his way to establishing himself as a major force in the music industry.
Shawn Kumar Graduated in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Northwestern University. He’s a Real Estate Developer and Builder, with a manufacturing background. His musical background is both vocals and piano. He enjoys playing basketball and golf, and is Married with three boys.
